Team

The Blackwood CME team has CME experience in all phases of project development and execution.  Their working relationships span the spectrum of industry, academic and private CME organizations.  All activities and contacts are the direct responsibilities of the Blackwood CME executive team, helping to ensure they are in accordance with ACCME, PhRMA, AdvaMed, FDA, and client guidelines.

Executive Management

  • Brent Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer

    As co-founder, Brent Schwartz brings over 20 years of experience in the medical education, pharmaceutical and association industries. He has managed and directed CME activities and programs internationally, educational grant programs, satellite symposia, and business development activities.

    Brent brings sales, advertising and marketing experience to the position, having worked in these capacities with several Fortune 100 pharmaceutical companies. Brent is experienced with strategic planning and project management, sponsorship programs, multimedia integration activities, internet programming, and organizational collaboration.

    Brent has general management responsibilities, and is the point of contact for client relationships.

Education Team

Blackwood CME’s education team provides numerous services in support of our clients.

Grant Writers research the marketplace for funding opportunities and topic compatibility, prepare documents, submit grant applications, and reconcile programs.  Additionally, they respond to related supporter and client inquiries.

Project Team functions include satellite symposia and special project management and fulfillment, on-site monitoring of programming, website maintenance and social media communications.

Our network of Needs Assessment and Learning Objective Writers ensure the  utilization of current population, disease state and historical demographics, to define the need, and to explain existing knowledge, skill , behavioral and application gaps in accord with researched evidence-based medical principals and the needs within the targeted population.
